9 Lessons Your Parents Teach You About Best Robotic Mop And Vacuum

Best Robotic Mop and Vacuum Combos

The majority of robot vacuum-mop combinations can be customized with a specialized app to save the maps of your home as well as set cleaning schedules and choose mopping modes. You can also alter the suction power and the amount of water your mop uses.

A mapping feature helps your robot navigate rooms while an obstacle avoidance feature helps it avoid hitting wires, furniture, or even stray pet toys. These features are vital in my home filled with toys.

1. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra

The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra is the top-of-the-line mop and vacuum, which is why it naturally comes with features. It’s able to both mop and sweep in a single session, and it can even lift its brushes and mop pads to stop soft surfaces from getting too wet. It can also avoid obstacles by looking for pets, plants, and other small objects.

The robotic vacuum has a suction power of 6,000 pascals which is more than any other robot vac we’ve tested up to now. It’s also equipped with PreciSense LiDAR navigation that tracks its location, which prevents it from getting stuck on objects.

The S8 Pro Ultra’s mopping capabilities are also impressive. It can apply constant pressure to the pad that is over 6 Newtons for a thorough clean. It also comes with mop lifter technology that will lift the pad automatically when it transitions between tile and laminate, hardwood and carpet or rugs to prevent soaking soft surfaces.

The S8 Pro Ultra also has self-washing and self drying features. The pad can be washed and dried in the dock and the dust bin is automatically empty and returned to it. This means that you can put it away and forget about it, only needing to clean the dust bag and refill the water tank on occasion.

All of this is powered by a 5,200mAh lithium-ion battery. The S8 Pro Ultra ran on its usual vac- and mop-settings for approximately 160 minutes before it started to run out of power and returned to its base to recharge. This isn’t far off from the 180-minute time that Roborock claims and is at the same level as other hybrids I’ve tried.

It’s a well-rounded, capable product. The only issue is that it’s pricey. The number of features make it a very attractive option for anyone who is looking to replace their old mops and stick vacuums. If you can justify the cost we strongly recommend checking this one out.

2. Dreametech L10S Ultra

The Dreametech L10S Ultra is a high-end robot vacuum and mop combo. Its price is justified by its robust features, which include a large vacuuming capacity and two gyrating mops. It also has an app-based controller that is smart and a mighty obstacle avoidance technology.

The L10S Ultra is one of the most expensive robotic vacuums and mop combos available at a recommended retail price of 999 euros. In my testing it was able to perform well in all areas of the house, removing 98.4% of debris on all floor types and managing to lift long hair without knots. The mops were also excellent, achieving great cleaning results with less effort than most mid-range models due to their rotational motion as well as an incredibly strong cleaning solution.

The docking station is the primary selling aspect of the L10S Ultra. It’s multifunctional and sophisticated. The docking station emptys the dustbin into a bag that can be used for dirt, fills up the tank with water to use to mop and also dry mop pads. It is equipped with a real-time danger detection system, and its sophisticated controls let you schedule regular cleaning sessions.

The L10S Ultra does not offer superior carpet debris removal performance compared to the other hybrid vacuum mop I tested. Additionally the mops aren’t adept at removing tough stains like those in the premium Roborock S7 MaxV Ultra.

In spite of the L10S Ultra’s numerous top-of-the-line features, it requires regular maintenance and care. The base station must be cleaned, and the water tank and dust bag should be cleaned, emptied and dried regularly to prevent mildew and unpleasant odors. It is also important to remember that the mop pads which are purchased separately, will need to be replaced regularly too.

I would recommend the L10S Ultra to anyone with the money. For those who are on a tighter budget, I suggest an easier model that will allow you to save money while still enjoying the convenience of hands-free cleaning at your home. Even if the L10S Ultra was the best robot mop and vacuum you could find but its price and ongoing maintenance would make it more an item to have than one that you actually need.

3. Eufy S1 Pro

If you’re looking for a robotic mop and vacuum that can remove dust and dirt on your floors while taking care of wet mess, then take a look at the Eufy S1 Pro. This powerful robovac/mop combination is a mighty suction power of 8,000 Pa. It also has a huge battery capacity that can be used for vacuuming as well as mowing. And it is equipped with a top-notch obstacle-avoidance system. It has a roller-mop that cleans by itself which makes it stand out from models that require you to return to the base station to wash the mop pad.

The S1 Pro uses a unique mopping system that is a major departure from the microfibre pads and spinning discs that other robots. The roller is nearly the entire width of the robot, and it is supplied with a continuous supply of clean, ozonated filtered water from the dock. As it rotates the roller, it scrubs your floors while soaking up dirt, and any dry debris is picked up by the side brushes or swept into the front colision bumper. The S1 Pro then discharges the mop water that is dirty into its base station where it is sucked up by the tank’s heating elements, and dumped into a larger storage canister. The onboard tank holds a good amount of water and can handle about half a dozen mopping sessions before going dry.

Like most robot vacuums and mop combinations, the S1 Pro is ready to take it out of the box. The S1 Pro needs to be refilled with clean water. This is easily done in the cleaning dock. If you want to use your own cleaner you can add a cleaning solution to dock. However, if you do choose to use this feature, you’ll need to purchase the branded cleaning solution from Eufy, which is more expensive than other robot brands that permit you to use your personal cleaning products.

As with most robots, the S1 Pro did well in the area of coverage and navigation efficiency. It was fast to map a room and it was able to navigate through furniture. The only issue is that it was stuck a few times on carpets with longer piles and rugs in my tests however this could be improved when the software is updated. The S1 Pro is an all-in-one robot that has lots of features at affordable prices.

4. Roborock Qrevo

The Qrevo is Roborock’s entry-level mop and vacuum however it has several impressive features. The dock’s multifunction emptying the robot’s dirtbag, filling its water tanks and washing and sanitizing mop pads is done by the dock. The mopping system itself is capable of cleaning up a significant portion of a space before it has to return to its dock and the vacuum’s powerful suction is capable of removing debris and pet hair from carpets.

The app that runs the appliance is quite dense, and offers a variety of options to customize the cleaning process. You can choose to manually start a full map and clear everything that’s been that the device maps, or you can pick particular rooms, expandable zones or even a routine that you’ve created. There are several mopping options, including SmartPlan — an algorithm that utilizes the sensors on the mops to determine the most efficient method to tidy your home as it maps the space.

The Qrevo performed well in our tests, just as all Roborock models we’ve test. Its navigation system is reliable that can quickly map rooms and cleaning them in a systematic way. The default pathing setting is excellent at covering a room, leaving no gaps or missing areas. The Reactive Tech hazard avoidance system works fairly well, too however it’s not as advanced as the color camera system of the Qrevo Master or the S8 Pro Ultra. It can spot dangers like thick carpets, but it may not always be able to detect smaller items like rug tassels, or electrical wires.

One of the biggest flaws of this model is the absence of a mop after vacuum option which could be an issue for people who do a lot of vacuuming prior to cleaning with their robot. Thankfully, there’s an easy solution: the app offers the option to “clean up” at the end of each session. The vacuum’s mopping functions to remove the dust and traces that are left behind after vacuuming. It’s a nice feature and helps the robot make its clean better than its less expensive competitors.
