As the Financial Business Partner, you will be a key adviser to the Core Leadership Team, Heads of Department and Senior Managers and other stakeholders in making data-backed critical business decisions, managing expenditure and budgets, reducing operational costs using innovative and effective strategies. You will build partnerships and maintain strong relationships with senior management, heads of department and other stakeholders leading financial planning and strategy; influencing decision-making; improving the understanding of business performance; developing and delivering unit financial strategies; delivering analysis and insight on business opportunities; providing options and scenarios for business decisions

The ideal candidate is an experienced Finance Business Partner with extensive experience in financial modeling and forecasting, budgeting, and planning, management accounting, real estate investment, and project finance having managed teams in the last four years

Expectations

  • Analyse current and past trends in key performance indicators including all areas of revenue, cost of sales, expenses, and capital expenditures and preparing periodic financial statements, including profit and loss accounts, budgets, cash flows, variance analysis and commentaries for management
  • Monitor performance indicators, highlighting trends and analysing causes of unexpected variances to effectively advise heads of business units contributing to medium and long-term business planning for all departments and especially Operations and Development
  • Lead corporate planning and reporting process for AHL and participate in period Business Reviews with the Core Leadership Team, Board Meetings, and shareholders briefings as the custodian of management and financial reports and accounts
  • Preparation and development of budgets, financial forecast, operating plans, and modelling tools with inputs from all relevant stakeholders
  • Improve performance by evaluating processes to drive efficiencies and understand ROI for various investment decisions
  • Analyse complex financial information and reports to provide accurate and timely financial recommendations to management for decision making purposes
  • Supporting the Finance Director, Heads of departments and the Central Leadership team with in-depth analysis and insights offering professional judgement on financial matters and advising on ways of improving business performance and working with stakeholders for corrective action
  • Interpreting and communicating financial data to non-financial managers and liaising with other function managers to put finances and accounts in context
  • Monitoring and evaluating financial information systems and suggesting improvements where needed
  • Reviewing, establishing, and implementing corporate governance procedures, risk management and internal controls
  • Any other relevant duties that may be assigned

    • A Qualified Accountant – CPA or ACCA
    • Chartered institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) qualification– Preferred
    • Minimum of 7years’ experience as a Management Accountant with more than 4 as a finance business partner
